The NetFury Accelerator is a web acceleration application that effectively speeds up delivery of:

• Static web pages
• Dynamic web pages
• POP 3 email
• IMAP email
• File transfers

There are two fundamental elements to the NetFury accelerator:

First of all, the client. This sits in the background on the client PC. The client maintains a persistent connection with the NetFury Acceleration servers in our data-centre. The client application intercepts requests for services such as email transmission or receipt or web page requests. These are diverted via the NetFury Acceleration servers which then effectively speed up the internet connection though a combination of:

• Intelligent caching
• Lossless data compression technology
• Advanced dynamic image processing

This technology provides the following characteristic results:

• Requests for web pages are accelerated
• Further acceleration is achieved when visiting , the same page or a similar page on the same domain.
• Auto-bypass kicks in if for any reason the acceleration service is interrupted, providing the subscriber with un interrupted surfing.
• Data types and objects that the NetFury accelerator does not understand or cannot manage. It is benign and does not interfere with Instant messaging, game protocols or HTTPS

The NetFury Accelerator is under constant development and refinement.

At the time of writing we have the following functionality:

• NetFury Accelerator is at 6.0 build stage which works seamlessly with Windows based desktops. The 6.0 version for MACs is imminent
• NetFury Accelerator works seamlessly with Internet Explorer. Some minor user intervention is required for use with Firefox, NetScape, Mozilla and Opera.
• The Accelerator client works with the majority of email clients including Outlook Express, Outlook, Eudora, on the Windows platform.
• Application behaviours can be user controlled via simple menu systems and dialogs
• The Accelerator client has in built diagnostics which have the ability to be forwarded to the technical support staff.
• The NetFury Accelerator interacts fully with other critical applications such as Firewalls, content filters and anti-virus filters.
